We're partnering with a fast-scaling European fintech/mobility company backed by some of the biggest names in energy, finance, and mobility to find a strong Backend Developer to join their engineering team

What you'll be working on
- Integrating new cashier systems and external platforms into an event-driven microservice architecture
- Taking the existing architecture to the next level using Node.js (TypeScript), Docker, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and emerging tools
- Ensuring seamless communication between internal systems and external platforms with high reliability and fault tolerance
- Developing and optimising algorithms for efficient data parsing and serialisation across diverse data structures and formats
- Proactively identifying and resolving issues in data transformation to enhance system performance and adaptability
- Writing clean, maintainable code that contributes to the long-term quality and sustainability of the platform
- Working in cross-functional agile teams with real ownership from day one
The profile
- Several years of hands-on backend development experience, preferably with Node.js/TypeScript
- Comfortable designing scalable, high-performance distributed systems (load balancing, caching, DB optimisation
- Strong analytical thinker who can own problems end to end
- Good written English — you'll be working in cross-functional teams
- Bonus: experience with payment processing or PCI-DSS standards
