Job Overview

The Web Developer (UI/UX + Conversion Optimization) will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with marketing technology, design, and account teams to deliver high-performing, user-friendly sites that convert. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience across WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, and Shopify, and who understands how to translate business goals into intuitive, conversion-driven user experiences.

This role will have direct client interaction and requires someone comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:Website Development & Platform Management:

  • Build and maintain responsive, high-performance websites across platforms including WordPress, HubSpot CMS, Webflow, and Shopify.
  • Develop custom functionality, templates, and integrations as needed to support client goals and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX concepts into functional, visually polished websites.
  • Ensure all websites adhere to accessibility standards, best SEO practices, and modern coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website performance, hosting, and integration issues.

UI/UX Design & Experience Optimization:

  • Work closely with the design team to ensure websites are intuitive, engaging, and user-focused.
  • Conduct UX audits and recommend improvements based on data and user feedback.
  • Collaborate on wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups for new projects and redesigns.
  • Balance aesthetics with usability and conversion-driven best practices.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

  • Plan and execute website optimization strategies to increase lead generation and on-site conversions.
  • Implement and manage A/B tests and multivariate tests using platforms like Google Optimize, Hotjar, or VWO.
  • Analyze user behavior data to identify friction points and propose UX enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and analytics teams to interpret conversion data and make iterative improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with the marketing technology team to ensure tracking, analytics, and automation are properly integrated (GA4, Tag Manager, HubSpot, Pardot, etc.).
  • Work closely with account managers to scope projects, manage timelines, and communicate progress directly with clients.
  • Support the digital and media teams by optimizing landing pages and microsites for campaign performance.
  • Contribute to the creation of repeatable processes and templates for faster development cycles and improved quality control.

QualificationsExperience:

  • 10+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack web development, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple web projects simultaneously across various CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot).
  • Demonstrated success in improving website conversion rates through UX and CRO techniques.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, design, and strategy teams.

Skills & Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (React or similar frameworks a plus).
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with APIs, plugins, and custom CMS integrations.
  • Familiarity with UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) and testing/analytics tools (Google Optimize, Hotjar, GA4, Tag Manager).
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, accessibility standards, and page-speed optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
