About The Role We are seeking a Mid-senior Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable front-end components for our web-GIS platform. You will collaborate closely with our front-end lead and cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize existing code, and ensure seamless integration with backend services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React, modern JavaScript, and UI/UX design principles, with an eagerness to learn geospatial concepts and contribute to innovative infrastructure planning solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects in a collaborative and flexible environment, supporting our growth and technological advancement in the industry. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • A Master's degree is an advantage
  • 4+ years of professional experience with React (v16+)
  • Proficiency with class components and modern functional components using hooks
  • Experience migrating class-based components to functional patterns
  • Ability to design and maintain custom hooks for reusable logic
  • Solid experience with React Context API and useReducer for state management
  • Excellent ES6+ fundamentals including async/await, promises, modules, and array methods
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows (GitLab/GitHub) and collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in agile development environments
  • Experience with Material-UI (MUI v4), Styled Components, and responsive design principles
  • Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs using Axios or similar libraries
  • Knowledge of GIS and mapping libraries such as OpenLayers and Cesium (desirable)
  • Understanding of geospatial concepts and data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefiles, WMS/WFS)
  • Experience with authentication flows and internationalization frameworks
  • Knowledge of build tools like Create React App or Webpack and code-quality tooling (ESLint, Prettier)
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and code organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Implement new features and UI enhancements to improve user experience and functionality
  • Migrate legacy React class components to modern functional components utilizing hooks
  • Collaborate with the front-end lead and cross-functional teams on architectural decisions and technical strategies
  • Refactor complex components to optimize performance, maintainability, and clarity
  • Integrate front-end components with Django REST APIs, including handling authentication and error states
  • Debug and resolve issues across the codebase, including production environments
  • Contribute to comprehensive documentation of features, workflows, and architectural patterns
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality
  • Stay updated with the latest React and front-end development best practices
  • Support the development of geospatial features by working with mapping libraries and data formats
