Technical Project Manager (Part-Time, 20 hrs/week)

Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Technical Project Manager to lead the development of a graph-based analytics platform that integrates with leading construction project management tools (e.g., Procore, Oracle P6). This platform will transform complex project data into machine-readable, actionable insights to drive efficiency and cost savings across billion-dollar construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a 4–5 person technical team (graph database architecture, API development, data science) within a larger cross-functional team.
• Manage scope, schedule, deliverables, and agile sprint processes across multiple workstreams.
• Oversee a phased engagement:
• Phase 1: Assessment and strategy
• Phase 2: Execution across three priority areas:
• Contract Playbooks: Summarize lengthy agreements into actionable insights for project teams.
• Schedule Integration: Merge and analyze sub-schedules to identify acceleration opportunities and conflicts.
• Safety Risk Detection: Identify high-risk upcoming activities and ensure compliance (permits, certifications, etc.).
• Ensure alignment with client goals to codify organizational knowledge and reduce recurring inefficiencies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical project management and complex systems integration.
• Strong background in agile/scrum methodologies with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Oracle P6).
• Background in the construction industry or complex project scheduling.
• Experience with graph databases, data analytics, or AI/ML-driven platforms is a plus.
