Engineering Manager - Transmission (Remote - US or Canada)

Accountabilities As an Engineering Manager - Transmission, you will:

• Manage a team of power system engineers performing transmission studies and related projects
• Oversee project execution to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance
• Interact with clients to understand project scope, address concerns, and maintain strong relationships
• Direct technical analyses, including steady state, transient stability, short circuit, and EMT studies
• Lead development and review of transmission study methodologies, modeling efforts, and system upgrade recommendations
• Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize team efficiency and deliverable quality
• Support business development activities, including RFP responses and project scoping
• Mentor and develop engineers within the team, fostering technical growth and collaboration

Requirements Candidates should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Power Systems; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electric energy industry, performing power system studies and design analyses
• Proficiency with industry-standard software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, TARA, ASPEN, CAPE, or PSCAD
• Experience managing a team of 2-10 engineers, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to balance technical responsibilities with team development, client engagement, and process improvement

Preferred:

• Advanced knowledge of transmission system modeling and reliability studies
• Experience with renewable energy integration and storage projects
