About The Role We are currently seeking an experienced AWS/Node.js Developer to join our client's dynamic team on a 3-month initial contract. This remote-based role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud solutions, focusing on building and enhancing the AWS infrastructure to support data extraction and API development. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud services that enable seamless integration between the backend systems and frontend applications. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in serverless architecture, API development, and cloud security, who can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in software development, particularly within the AWS ecosystem and Node.js framework. Relevant qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, although equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Familiarity with messaging queues, data storage solutions, and security best practices within AWS is also required. Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code, version control, and DevOps practices is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Build and maintain APIs using Amazon API Gateway to facilitate secure and efficient communication between frontend and backend systems.
  • Implement data extraction and integration processes utilizing AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, and OpenSearch.
  • Develop and manage orchestration workflows with AWS Step Functions to automate complex processes.
  • Configure and manage messaging queues with Amazon SQS to ensure reliable message delivery.
  • Ensure security best practices by managing secrets and configurations using AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management through AWS CloudFormation templates.
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of cloud solutions.
  • Maintain documentation of architecture, processes, and code to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to uphold quality standards across all deliverables.

Benefits Our client offers a competitive contract package, including flexible remote working arrangements, enabling a healthy work-life balance. You will have the opportunity to work with innovative cloud technologies and contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative team environment. The role provides valuable exposure to AWS cloud architecture and development practices, enhancing your professional growth. Additionally, the client promotes a supportive culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.
