This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Development Manager in the United States. This Development Manager role is designed for a highly skilled and experienced leader in software development and engineering. You will oversee globally distributed development teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality SaaS and cloud-based products. The role blends technical expertise with strategic leadership, guiding teams through agile software development, CI/CD processes, and full-stack development projects. You will be responsible for mentoring, hiring, and retaining top talent while fostering collaboration across teams and time zones. The position also emphasizes improving productivity, efficiency, and product quality, while proactively managing dependencies and mitigating risk. This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing fintech/commodities environment, offering the opportunity to shape the technology strategy and delivery outcomes of the organization. Accountabilities

  • Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing global engineering team, including developers and testers.
  • Manage end-to-end software development lifecycle for SaaS and cloud-based applications.
  • Oversee front-end (React/Angular) and back-end (.NET, Azure ecosystem) development, APIs, microservices, and infrastructure components.
  • Facilitate agile development processes, including planning, sprint execution, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Conduct code reviews, solution design sessions, and support quality assurance initiatives.
  • Set team goals, perform performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies, manage risk, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality, team efficiency, and operational processes.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop top technical talent aligned with business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing software in an Agile environment.
  • Proven technical background as a lead developer or architect with hands-on experience in front-end and back-end development.
  • Expertise in .NET stack and Azure ecosystem (Azure Boards, CI/CD, Git Repos).
  • Experience with UX/UI design tools; React JS and React Native preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS/cloud product development, web applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams across different time zones.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work US EST hours or at least until 2 PM EST.
