Generalist Project Manager
This can be a remote position while requiring significant travel to the home office in the 1st year, for training and team collaboration.
Our client is adding a Generalist Project Manager, responsible for cross-departmental projects in IT and Operations. This is a critical position reporting to executive leadership. Projects can be technical, operational or both and the PM must have the proven ability to manage both technical and operational projects concurrently. Projects can start out as loosely defined initiatives and the PM must be able to bring structure and definition to create projects that are well managed, on-time and on-budget.
This requires strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Driving Projects forward with some uncertainty is critical to success. This is a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree, 5-8 years of PM experience.
- Experience working in a lean environment including — willingness to be hands-on, wear multiple hats, and do detailed work personally rather than relying on a large support team.
- Experience using project management tools and productivity/reporting tools.
- Experience and success operating effectively as a remote employee — self-directed, proactive in communication, and able to build strong working relationships with team members without daily in-person contact.
- Experience bringing discipline and follow-through to execution.
- Focus on moving projects forward without waiting for perfect information or full consensus.
- Experience allocating attention to “what matters most” across a varied project portfolio.
- Experience with Executive Presentations including clear communication by turning complexity into concise, actionable updates for executive audiences.
