About The Role As a Front-End Web Developer within Mivas Software department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the digital storefronts of numerous online businesses. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of high-impact projects, including developing dynamic web components, refining existing frameworks, and creating innovative features for Miva Merchant eCommerce stores. This position requires close collaboration with senior developers, UX designers, and other industry experts to deliver solutions that are fast, reliable, and visually compelling. The role is fully remote, with most team members working on Pacific Time schedules, thus requiring comfort with flexible working hours and remote collaboration tools. The ideal candidate is passionate about coding, problem-solving, and staying ahead of industry trends, eager to contribute to a fast-paced, solutions-focused environment that values quality and innovation. Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a web developer
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript coding from scratch without reliance on frameworks or libraries
• Experience developing responsive, secure, and maintainable web solutions
• Ability to integrate front-end solutions into server-side templating languages
• Completion of OWASP Top Ten security training and application of secure coding standards
• Solid understanding of JSON APIs, XML markup, and HTTP request/response flows
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
• Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or PHP
• Experience with command line interfaces, build processes, and Docker
• Experience authoring automated test scripts using tools like Playwright or Cypress
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team environment

• Interpret user requirements to create clear and effective software specifications
• Analyze business processes to inform and improve development decisions
• Learn and apply features of the Miva Merchant eCommerce CMS and software
• Convert designs and specifications into interactive, responsive solutions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Miva Template Language
• Optimize website functionality for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Adhere to secure coding practices to ensure software safety and integrity
• Develop manual and automated tests to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Collaborate with team members to foster an innovative and productive development environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project goals and team success
