About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This exempt position reports directly to the Supervisor and plays a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of data analysts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing data analysis processes, designing and validating analytical solutions, and fostering a culture of analytical excellence. The Lead Data Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various business areas to understand their needs, translate requirements into actionable insights, and deliver impactful reports and dashboards using Power BI. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise in data profiling, modeling, and governance, as well as excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences. The position offers remote work flexibility, with occasional travel to the Plain City office, and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on global agriculture through data-driven innovation. Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring data analysts
  • Strong ability to facilitate structured discovery conversations with stakeholders
  • Expertise in data profiling, analysis, and understanding of data quality and business context
  • Experience with validation and testing methodologies for analytical solutions
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and manipulation
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, report, and dashboard development
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience designing dimensional data models
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, Talend)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, setting goals and supporting career growth
  • Establish and lead best practices for analytical processes, validation, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable projects
  • Lead structured discovery sessions to clarify requirements and define measurable business value
  • Collaborate with Data Platform Managers to align team priorities and maximize value delivery
  • Perform comprehensive data profiling to assess data quality, patterns, and business relevance
  • Design and refine data models to support critical business insights, working closely with Data Warehouse Engineers
  • Validate analytical solutions through rigorous testing before deployment
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI that focus on key performance metrics
  • Develop data governance artifacts, including data dictionaries, lineage, and automated profiling frameworks
  • Document data definitions and relationships to enhance organizational knowledge and data literacy
  • Empower stakeholders by increasing their ability to create and interpret reports, fostering self-service analytics
  • Monitor usage and adoption of data products, providing ongoing support and improvements
