About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and tracking all aspects of the VA onboarding process, including badge requirements and program logistics. This position requires a strong understanding of financial and operational processes, with the ability to develop purchase orders, assess profitability, and ensure invoice accuracy. The Business Analyst will work closely with senior leadership, internal teams, and external partners to facilitate requirements gathering, report generation, and data analysis.

The role demands excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, including government officials and internal management. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for understanding salary requirements, tracking against contract bill rates, and providing recommendations to optimize financial performance. Experience with requirements gathering for ingestion into ServiceNow and running detailed reports for meetings is essential. The position offers a remote work environment with minimal travel, primarily less than 10%, and requires residing within approved states within the United States.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a financial analyst, business analyst, or systems analyst within a government contracting environment
• Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Office365
• Effective communication skills with senior and executive leadership
• Ability to pass a drug screening and Veterans Affairs background check
• Must reside within approved states within the continental United States
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all aspects of the VA onboarding process, including badge requirements and program logistics
• Track program financials, develop purchase orders, and assess profitability to ensure financial health
• Verify invoice accuracy and communicate discrepancies to business partners, internal teams, and clients
• Understand and analyze salary requirements, track against contract bill rates, and provide strategic recommendations
• Gather and document requirements for ingestion into ServiceNow to facilitate process automation
• Generate and analyze reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for leadership meetings
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing updates and insights on program status and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
• Support program audits and compliance activities as needed
