Role Description

We are partnering with a mid-level regional bank seeking a highly skilled Adobe InDesign Engineer to support the technology infrastructure behind high-impact marketing campaigns. This role is instrumental in building and maintaining the front-end document generation and campaign automation systems that power customer acquisition initiatives—including promotional campaigns such as deposit bonuses (e.g., “Bring $25,000 to open an account and receive $600”). The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Adobe InDesign with campaign automation and customer communications platforms, ensuring scalable, compliant, and visually compelling output across digital and print channels.

This is a one-year contract engagement, $80-$85 hour, W2, fully remote within North America (United States, Canada, or Mexico). You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Digital Banking, Compliance, and IT teams to design and engineer personalized customer communication templates and campaign-driven assets that align with regulatory standards and brand guidelines. This is a high-visibility role where precision, performance, and customer experience are critical.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, along with a strong understanding of creating templates and managing workflows
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and interactive design
• Skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing performance of digital assets
• Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration between design and development teams
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience in creating solutions for large-scale or corporate projects (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dynamic document templates using Adobe InDesign for marketing and customer communication campaigns
• Develop and configure automated customer communication workflows within Quadient Inspire (formerly Quadrant Inspire)
• Engineer front-end template logic and data-driven personalization for promotional banking campaigns
• Translate marketing requirements into scalable, compliant document generation solutions
• Integrate campaign logic with internal data sources to dynamically generate customer-facing materials
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards for financial promotions
• Optimize document generation performance, rendering speed, and template maintainability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Compliance, Product, and IT teams
• Support testing, QA validation, and deployment of campaign materials
• Maintain documentation of template structures, personalization rules, and automation workflows

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign (template creation, scripting, automation)
• Experience with Quadient Inspire (Quadrant Inspire) for customer communications management
• Background in front-end template engineering within regulated environments (financial services preferred)
• Experience supporting marketing campaign execution through document automation platforms
• Understanding of data-driven personalization and variable content logic
• Familiarity with compliance-driven document review processes
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote environment
• Ability to work within North American time zones
