Frontend Developer | RemoteUp to £85k Plus Package | Fast-Growth Tech Scale-Up

I’m supporting a rapidly scaling technology business that’s building innovative, globally distributed digital products - and they’re now looking for a React Developer to take full ownership of their web UI and lead a major modernisation of their frontend architecture.

The Opportunity

You’ll be the technical lead for the frontend - guiding the transition from a vanilla TypeScript/SASS setup to a modern framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte. This is a chance to shape best practices, introduce new tooling, and own the future of the frontend codebase.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the rewrite of the frontend using a modern JavaScript framework
• Designing clean, reusable, scalable UI components
• Collaborating closely with backend engineers (Python/Django) on API integrations
• Maintaining and improving existing TypeScript/SASS code during the transition
• Ensuring performance, accessibility, and reliability across the app
• Contributing to architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning
• Implementing robust testing across the frontend stack

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience building modern frontend applications with React or Vue
• Deep understanding of JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, responsive design, and UI best practices
• Experience integrating with REST APIs
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Cypress, etc.)
• Knowledge of modern build tools (Vite, Webpack, etc.)

Nice-to-have:

• Exposure to Django-based systems
• Experience with CI/CD for frontend workflows
• Understanding of Dockerised development
• Strong UX/UI sensibility
