About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Owner with development experience in AI to join our dynamic startup team. In this role, you will be at the intersection of product management and development, taking our early stage product to the next level. You will work closely with a small, agile team to define and deliver product features that enhance the travel booking experience, leveraging AI technologies to meet both business goals and customer needs. Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on the intersection of AI and travel.

Backlog Ownership & Prioritization: Own and manage the product backlog, continuously refining and prioritizing items based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.

AI Development Integration: Work closely with the development team to incorporate AI capabilities into product features, ensuring an intuitive user experience is seamlessly integrated. This includes hands-on experience in AI development, including working with Large Language Models (LLMs) for chatbots, content generation, and data analysis.

User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Translate business and user needs into clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria. Help define and prioritize features based on customer needs and technical constraints.

Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and smooth delivery. Ensure the development team has the necessary context for executing features and that communication remains clear and effective throughout the development cycle.

Market Research & Analytics: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and user needs. Use data-driven insights from product analytics, A/B testing, and user behavior tracking to validate product decisions.

UI/UX Design & Prototyping: Prepare UI/UX mockups and user flows to effectively communicate product ideas to the development team and to ensure an intuitive seamless user experience.

Feature Launch & Post-Release Analysis: Manage feature launches, including rollout planning, coordination, and post-release analysis. Measure the success of releases through defined KPIs and adjust product priorities accordingly.

Agile Development: Contribute to the Agile development process by being actively involved in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. You will help ensure that the product development process is efficient and aligned with the overall business strategy.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven Product Ownership Experience: Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role, preferably in a startup environment. Understanding of Travel technology experience is a plus.

AI Development Skills: Hands-on experience with AI development, including the use and understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI technologies to build product features. Familiarity with tools like ChatGPT, Loveable, Claude, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.

Product Analytics & Experimentation: Strong skills in product analytics, A/B testing, funnel analysis, and using analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics) to drive product decisions.

Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and an understanding of Agile product development processes. Ability to work in fast-paced, iterative development cycles.

Design Tools: Experience with tools like Figma, Sketch, and familiarity with prototyping tools for UI/UX design.

Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage stakeholders at all levels. Able to translate technical requirements and user needs into actionable product goals.

Experience in Travel Tech: While not mandatory, experience working in the travel tech space will be highly valuable, especially in understanding user pain points related to travel and booking systems.

Problem Solving & Iterative Improvement: Ability to approach complex problems creatively, using AI to generate solutions, and continuously iterate on the product based on user feedback and data insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

Junior Role: Ideal for someone looking to grow into a more senior product ownership role in a startup environment, with room for career progression.

Experience with AI Tools: Proficiency with AI-powered tools and platforms, especially those related to travel and customer interaction (e.g., chatbots, personalized recommendations).
