# Associate Data Engineer
## About the Role
Crum & Forster is seeking an **Associate Data Engineer** to support the S&S Data Science team’s **External Data** function. This role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines that bring third-party data into underwriting, claims, and business intelligence (BI) workflows.
Working alongside an established Data Engineer, you will create scalable ETL/ELT jobs, integrate external data sources through REST APIs, and help ensure data quality for analytics and data science models. This is a **remote role with a U.S.-wide scope**.
## Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain data pipelines for third-party and external data.
* Develop scalable ETL/ELT jobs.
* Integrate external data sources using REST APIs.
* Bring third-party data into underwriting workflows.
* Support data integration for claims workflows.
* Support business intelligence (BI) workflows with external data.
* Work alongside an established Data Engineer.
