Our client is currently seeking a Product Manager to drive growth and collaboration with stakeholders and clients. This is a full time and REMOTE role with up to 25% domestic travel.
Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 + 10%-20% Bonus
Role Summary
This role leads the commercial and strategic direction of a product portfolio, shaping market strategy, long‑term planning, and cross‑functional execution. The position combines product leadership, market insight, and business development responsibilities to drive sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Go‑to‑Market
- Build and execute market (Public or Private Utilities) entry and growth plans, defining target customers, revenue goals, and priority segments.
- Guide sales teams in positioning products and coordinating go‑to‑market efforts.
- Identify and shape product offerings suited for overhead and underground applications.
- Establish pricing approaches aligned with market expectations and business goals.
Strategic Planning
- Create a multi‑year roadmap to meet long‑term revenue objectives.
- Maintain a rolling market outlook, including TAM/PAM/SAM assessments.
- Define the long‑term product evolution and investment priorities.
Market & Customer Insight
- Track industry developments and translate trends into product implications.
- Identify customer needs, competitive gaps, and opportunities for new solutions.
- Convert Voice‑of‑Customer input into technical requirements and product definition documents.
- Represent the business at industry events and conferences.
Product Management Execution
- Support sales through joint customer visits and pipeline development.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, and other functions to support product success.
- Monitor business performance, analyze results, and prepare regular reports.
- Handle day‑to‑day product management tasks as needed.
Required Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in product management or commercial roles.
- Familiarity with smart grid technologies, protection systems, or distribution automation.
- Strong financial analysis capability.
- Entrepreneurial mindset paired with strategic thinking.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Results‑driven, with strong problem‑solving orientation.
