About the Opportunity:
The TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) SYSTEMS is responsible for defining and driving AI system requirements, guiding product strategy that aligns AI capabilities with user needs and organizational priorities. This role impacts the organization by ensuring AI features deliver real value through clear decision-making and collaboration with engineering teams to achieve reliable and user-trusted AI products.
Responsibilities:
- Research and define end-to-end AI system requirements.
- Translate model capabilities and constraints into product and system decisions.
- Make trade-offs among quality, latency, cost, reliability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with ML, backend, and mobile engineers on system design and evaluation.
- Develop and evolve evaluation frameworks including offline metrics and human feedback.
- Drive execution with clear specifications and prioritization.
- Ensure timely, safe, and reliable system deployment.
- Own product quality, correctness, predictability, and user trust.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered products and LLM-based systems.
- Experience with model evaluation, prompt or pipeline iteration, and feedback loops.
- Strong understanding of model limitations, bias, hallucinations, and drift.
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and system design.
- Knowledge of ML fundamentals and AI system behavior in production.
- Ability to review and discuss technical design documents.
- Experience managing complex technical products end-to-end.
- Proven collaboration with senior engineers and ML teams.
- Strong judgment and decision-making in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Ability to balance ambition with technical and operational constraints.
- Preferred: experience with AI-heavy consumer products, engineering background, defining ML evaluation metrics, AI UX patterns, and zero-to-one product development.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- USD 185000 - USD 210000 yearly
