About The Role We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join our Comcast Technology and Product Experience (TPX) team, specifically within the Connected Living Camera Client Engineering group. This team is responsible for developing customer-facing mobile applications for Comcast’s Home Security Camera products, including the native iOS and Android Xfinity applications. These applications primarily manage cloud-enabled Internet Gateways for millions of homes and are expanding to include new features such as bill payment functionalities. The ideal candidate will contribute to building high-quality, scalable mobile experiences that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on real-time video streaming, device interactions, and innovative camera features that serve a vast user base. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5-7 years of professional experience in Android development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming language
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs into mobile applications
• Familiarity with MVVM or similar architecture patterns
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
• Experience building or maintaining large-scale consumer applications (preferred)
• Knowledge of video playback or streaming technologies such as ExoPlayer, HLS, WebRTC, or RTSP (preferred)
• Familiarity with modern Android development tools, including Jetpack Compose
• Understanding of Android permissions, privacy considerations, and app lifecycle management

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android features focused on camera and video experiences for the Xfinity app
• Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions
• Participate in app architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making processes
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Kotlin code adhering to modern Android development standards
• Optimize app performance, reliability, and overall user experience
• Debug and resolve production issues promptly to ensure seamless user experiences
• Engage in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and incorporate them into the development process
