About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Android Developer to join our growing mobile engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications used by thousands of customers daily. This role is suited to a proactive developer who is passionate about mobile technology, stays up to date with emerging tools, and is comfortable working in a collaborative and remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Ensure app performance, responsiveness, and security across different Android devices and OS versions.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following modern design patterns (MVVM, MVI).
• Monitor and improve app performance using tools like Firebase Crashlytics and Android Vitals.
• Stay current with the latest Android development trends, frameworks, and libraries.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid knowledge of Java.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, WorkManager).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Retrofit/OkHttp.
• Knowledge of Material Design guidelines and responsive UI/UX development.
• Experience with Git and version control best practices.
• Understanding of unit testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins, or CircleCI).

Nice-to-Have (Emerging Tech)

• Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) or Flutter.
• Exposure to modularization and clean architecture principles.
• Knowledge of coroutines and Flow for reactive programming.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks (Hilt, Dagger).
