The product emphasizes an intuitive user experience that automates routine bookkeeping tasks and minimizes manual data entry. By delivering clear, actionable financial insights, SelfSIA enables businesses to understand their finances without requiring accounting expertise.

Role Description

As a Full Stack Engineer at SelfSIA, you will work in a full-time remote capacity to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features for our AI-powered bookkeeping platform. You will collaborate with product and design teams to implement intuitive user interfaces, robust APIs, and scalable services that support automated financial workflows. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing peer code, improving performance and reliability, and integrating third-party services as needed. You will participate in architecture discussions, help refine technical requirements, contribute to testing and deployment pipelines, and proactively address security, data integrity, and usability concerns.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks to create secure and scalable services.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering practices, including version control, testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL) is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with fintech, accounting, or data-intensive applications is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
