Title: Senior Data Engineer (Databricks Focus)Location: Remote – LATAM candidates encouraged to apply We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients, an innovative global company that builds impactful digital solutions. They are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Databricks and a solid background in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. This is a long-term remote opportunity working with an international and collaborative team on cutting-edge data projects. What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern ETL frameworks.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Develop and maintain data models using tools like ER/Studio or IBM Data Architect.
• Implement and optimize data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift or Snowflake.
• Collaborate on real-time data integration using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Azure Data Factory.
• Ensure data security and access control with tools such as Apache Ranger and HashiCorp Vault.
• Work closely with analytics teams to enable data visualization with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and Git for task management and documentation.
• Follow software engineering best practices using SQL, Python, and optionally R.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Proven experience with Databricks (must-have).
• Strong background in data modeling, ETL development, and pipeline optimization.
• Experience with Apache Spark, big data technologies, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R).
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional, and remote environments.
• Advanced English communication skills.
