Product Manager (Platform & AI)

A leading HR and payroll technology provider is looking for a Platform Product Manager to own and grow its integrated SaaS platform.Salary: £80kBased: Manchester (Remote first with monthly office visits - travel/stay is expensed)

The successful candidate will take ownership of the platform layer that links the organisation’s HR and payroll solutions, helping to transform currently separate systems into a seamless, integrated customer experience.

Working closely with engineering, data, and product teams, the Platform Product Manager will drive the roadmap, strengthen the platform architecture, and identify opportunities to introduce automation and artificial intelligence to enhance functionality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define the platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with wider product strategy.
• Build and evolve the integration architecture connecting multiple SaaS products.
• Develop and manage the organisation’s API strategy and platform infrastructure.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to implement AI and automation capabilities across the platform.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and platform teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure the platform supports reliability, scalability, and high performance.
• Enhance the end-to-end customer experience across integrated products.
• Research and apply emerging technologies, particularly in AI and automation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Manager within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Experience working on platform products, integrations, or product ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architecture.
• Exposure to AI or automation technologies within software products.
• Solid technical understanding of SaaS platforms and system integrations.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and data teams.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear product features and customer value.

The Platform Product Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a scalable, AI-enabled platform that provides a seamless experience for customers.

This role requires the candidate to have management and Agentic AI experience.
