Java Developer (Palantir Foundry)Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with hands-on Palantir Foundry experience to support the design, development, integration, and modernization of enterprise applications and data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, microservices, cloud technologies, and enterprise system integration, with demonstrated experience building solutions within the Palantir ecosystem to support mission-critical government operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using modern development frameworks.
• Develop and integrate applications within the Palantir Foundry platform, including data pipelines, operational workflows, and application services.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise data integration and analytics.
• Collaborate with data engineers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to develop innovative solutions using Palantir Foundry.
• Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows across multiple enterprise data sources.
• Participate in application modernization initiatives utilizing cloud-native technologies and DevSecOps best practices.
• Develop unit tests, integration tests, and support automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and implement enhancements.
• Prepare technical documentation, system design artifacts, and implementation guides.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of Java development experience building enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions within Palantir Foundry is required.
• Strong experience with:
• Java 11/17+
• Spring Boot
• RESTful APIs
• Microservices Architecture
• SQL and relational databases
• Git
• Maven or Gradle
• Experience integrating enterprise applications with cloud-based platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Active Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI) or an Active/Public Trust is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting federal government or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure software development.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a collaborative software engineer with strong Java development expertise and demonstrated experience leveraging Palantir Foundry to build enterprise applications, data integration solutions, and mission-critical operational capabilities. Candidates should be comfortable working in Agile environments, partnering with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable, secure solutions that support enterprise modernization initiatives within federal or other highly regulated environments. U.S. Citizenship is required, and candidates with an active security clearance or current Public Trust are strongly preferred.
