About the Opportunity
The Software Engineer, Monetization develops and optimizes systems that support customer enrollment, subscription management, and retention. This role contributes directly to revenue growth by building and improving experiences used by millions of customers. The position works closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data teams to experiment, iterate, and deliver high-quality product experiences in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain enrollment flows, paywalls, subscription management, and reactivation experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data teams to run experiments and continuously improve features.
• Develop and deliver product improvements across frontend, backend, and potentially mobile codebases.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Apply software engineering best practices, robust testing, and appropriate safeguards to ensure product quality.
• Monitor application performance, user behavior, and system health using analytics and observability tools.
• Contribute to technical decisions and improvements that support scalable monetization systems.
Requirements
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering and maintaining production products.
• Full-stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with backend technologies including Node.js, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Ability to contribute across frontend, backend, and mobile codebases as needed.
• Experience with modern web development tooling, including bundlers, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of analytics and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, PostHog, or Datadog.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in a remote-first environment.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted software development tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with React Native or mobile application development.
• Familiarity with subscription, payment, or e-commerce systems and customer purchase flows.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms.
• Experience integrating marketing technology platforms such as Braze.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines, including Terraform/HCL.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
• Salary range of $130,000–$165,000 per year, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
