About the Opportunity:
The ASSOCIATE CLOUD DATA ENGINEER role supports the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. This position works collaboratively across business units and technical teams to ensure seamless data flow and enable actionable insights that align with enterprise data strategies. The role improves the performance and efficiency of data and analytics offerings within a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the cloud data framework aligned with enterprise data strategy and policies
- Design and build scalable, efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines on Azure and Snowflake
- Implement data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Snowflake
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, scientists, and project managers
- Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with governance standards
- Automate monitoring and logging for data workflows to maintain data integrity
- Troubleshoot data pipeline and platform performance issues
- Adhere to change management processes for all deliverables
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including scrum, backlog grooming, and planning
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant technical or business experience; healthcare or analytics experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, data engineering, mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Azure tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake Storage
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with writing queries, stored procedures, and managing datasets
- Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, preferably in Snowflake or Azure Data Factory
- Competency in SQL or equivalent languages like Python, R, or Apache Spark
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions
- Strong eagerness to learn new technologies and understand business processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Basic knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Willingness to learn about healthcare and analytics industries
- Home office with high-speed wired internet (minimum 30 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload, latency under 80 ms); cellular, hotspot, satellite or wireless internet not permitted
- Dedicated, interruption-free workspace to ensure privacy and security of sensitive information
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Target salary range: $75,696 - $95,760 USD
- Maximum salary for the role: $106,704 USD
- Compensation based on experience, skills, and organizational factors
