Software Engineer | 12-Month Contract | $700-$850/day incl. super
The opportunity
A major Australian wealth and super organisation is looking for a Software Engineer to join its technology team on a 12-month contract. You’ll help build and look after the software that supports financial advice, working in an Agile team alongside engineers, testers and delivery leads.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, test and support applications
- Deliver new features and ongoing improvements
- Find and fix the root cause of issues, not just the symptoms
- Monitor alerts and keep systems running smoothly
- Work closely with the team to keep delivery steady and quality high
What you’ll bring
- Strong Java or Kotlin experience, plus JavaScript and Python
- Full-stack experience, including single-page applications
- Ideally you've worked in Wealth / Super or Financial Services
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with messaging technologies and basic Linux skills
- Experience working in Agile teams

- $700-$850 per day including super, depending on experience
- Work from anywhere in Australia
