Are you an AI product Manager looking for an exciting new contract, then this one’s for you!
An established, scientist-led business in the healthcare sector that is investing heavily in AI. The business is building an AI-enabled insights platform, an external partner has built a cloud-based prototype. You'll be the bridge between the scientists and the build partners, taking the platform from prototype to a credible MVP.
What you'll do
- Own the product vision and roadmap, from prototype to Implementation
- Review and challenge the build spec, architecture and estimates, and agree a realistic MVP
- Manage external build partners day to day on scope, quality and timelines
- Turn the scientists' needs into clear requirements, user stories and priorities
- Advise on technology choices, including cloud platforms, data pipelines and AI tooling
- Make sure data is handled responsibly, in line with data protection and industry rules
- Set up quality checks so the AI's outputs are accurate and trustworthy
- Keep scientists, leadership and investors aligned, and report progress and risks clearly
- Document the product and support the handover to, and hiring of, a permanent Product Manager
What you'll bring
- 8+ years as a senior product manager
- Hands-on experience launching AI or data products (LLMs, RAG, NLP or insights platforms)
- A track record of getting from prototype to MVP on a fixed deadline
- Experience managing external vendors and challenging their scope and estimates
- Enough cloud, data and AI knowledge to challenge engineers credibly
Nice to have
- Experience in pharma, life sciences, healthtech or another regulated industry
- Knowledge of GDPR and industry compliance
- Experience setting up safeguards against AI inaccuracy and hallucination
- Experience in a private equity-backed, consultancy or agency environment
