About Peachtree Infrastructure
Peachtree Infrastructure is a fully integrated renewable-energy developer and asset manager (founded 2022, headquartered in Atlanta, GA) that pairs onsite solar, energy storage, energy efficiency, and grid-services technologies with proprietary software to unlock value for commercial real estate.
Role Summary
We're hiring a data-specialized full stack developer / data engineer to own the architecture and operation of our IoT data platform, from high-volume sensor ingestion through transformation, storage, and the operational actions that data enables. This role is for someone who lives in data pipelines and time-series data but can still ship full stack features.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and operate scalable IoT sensor ingestion pipelines into BigQuery, including batch and near-real-time write paths.
- Model and manage time-series data in BigQuery and operational data in Postgres (AlloyDB / Cloud SQL); own data quality, reliability, and observability.
- Build operational features and automated actions driven by IoT data using Cloud Run jobs and Cloud Workflows.
- Build full stack interfaces (Python/Flask or Node.js + Svelte/SvelteKit) that surface data and controls to users.
- Deploy on Cloud Run (serverless); own pipelines in production.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with a strong concentration in data engineering / data pipelines, plus full stack capability.
- Strong BigQuery (or comparable cloud data warehouse) experience: schema design, time-series modeling, query optimization.
- Expert SQL and solid PostgreSQL; proven ETL/ELT pipeline design and operation.
- IoT / time-series data ingestion at scale
- Strong Python (Flask or other WSGI preferred) and Node.js; comfortable building full stack features with a modern frontend (Svelte/SvelteKit a plus).
- Production cloud experience on GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL / AlloyDB); AWS/Azure transferable.
Nice-to-Haves
- dbt or comparable data transformation tooling.
- Infrastructure-as-code; observability/monitoring for data pipelines.
- OAuth/SSO; Salesforce REST API.
- Energy, utilities, IoT, or industrial/operational-technology domain experience.
Hiring Process
- Expect 2-3 interview rounds
- Technical portion will include a live coding exercise where you will be asked to perform a task on our stack without the use of AI.
Location
- Remote (US only, Colorado or Georgia preferred). Must work US business hours.
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the US without employer backing.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range $150,000-$180,000, depending on experience and depth of data/IoT specialization. W-2 employee with benefits. We support pay transparency and equal pay.
