Senior Frontend Developer (Part-Time / Contract)

National Digital is an Australian digital agency specialising in headless CMS integrations and custom application development. We're known for clean architecture, thoughtful integrations, and delivering flexible, scalable digital products.

We're on the lookout for a Senior Frontend / Fullstack Developer to join our small, experienced team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical ownership, clean code, and building modern web experiences using the Next.js ecosystem.

What You’ll Work On

• Building and maintaining modern, performant frontend applications in Next.js
• Integrating headless CMS platforms, primarily Contentful and Storyblok
• Expert knowledge of Typescript / Building Typesafe APIs
• Collaborating closely with backend and design teams
• Occasionally contributing to backend logic (Node.js/Lambda/Serverless)

What We’re Looking For

• Expert-level experience with Next.js and React
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, API integrations, and frontend performance best practices
• Mentoring junior team members and leading best practice conversations
• Strong experience working with Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms
• Deep understanding of GraphQL and efficient query design
• Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment

Nice to Have

• SCSS/CSS: A working knowledge is expected
• Laravel: Helpful but not expected — great if you’ve worked alongside or integrated with Laravel backends
