One of our companies is currently looking for a Júnior Data Engineer in Portugal. As a Júnior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics efforts. Working primarily with Azure Data Factory and Databricks, you will help build scalable cloud-based data infrastructure while optimizing data workflows. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and analysts to ensure seamless data integration and support reporting needs. This position offers a great opportunity to grow your skills in data engineering within a dynamic and innovative remote work environment. Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Write and tune SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading on SQL Server and Azure SQL
  • Support the design and operation of scalable cloud-based data infrastructures
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure high performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts and senior engineers on data integration and reporting projects
  • Contribute to technical documentation and promote best practices in data engineering

Requirements

  • Experience working with SQL and Azure SQL, including writing and optimizing queries
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating data pipelines
  • Familiarity with Databricks and Spark, including working with notebooks
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong desire to grow in data engineering
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Residence in Portugal is mandatory
