What You’ll Do IronArch is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Front-End Focus) to help advance the Beneficiary Travel Self-Service System (BTSSS), a mission-critical VA platform that enables Veterans, caregivers, and donors to submit and track travel reimbursement claims. BTSSS supports millions of Veterans each year by connecting to VA enterprise systems that manage identity, eligibility, and payments. Built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and React, the platform provides both a public-facing portal and an internal application for VA staff. In this role, you will be hands-on in developing user interfaces, integrating APIs, and improving system performance as part of the broader BTSSS modernization effort. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to create a seamless, accessible, and reliable experience for Veterans and VA staff. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dynamic front-end applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs that connect front-end applications to Dynamics 365 and VA enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with design and UX teams to ensure accessible, Section 508-compliant interfaces.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (GitHub Actions, Cypress, Jest) to ensure high-quality releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing technical input on sprint planning and backlog prioritization.
- Stay current on VA.gov design patterns, API standards, and cloud modernization best practices.
Requirements
- Public Trust Clearance or higher (ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation; current or recently lapsed VA Public Trust preferred).
Preferred Experience
- 6+ years of full stack development experience, with a strong emphasis on front-end engineering.
- Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and responsive UI frameworks.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, data modeling, and integration with enterprise services.
- Experience working in cloud environments and with DevSecOps pipelines.
- Exposure to federal or VA projects with security and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of automated testing, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
