Full Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented .NET Developer to join our expanding engineering team. As an entry-level developer, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our software solutions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States, with a focus on collaboration and professional growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of web applications and services using the Microsoft technology stack. You will work closely with senior developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software. You will gain hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and SQL Server, while also learning best practices in code versioning, testing, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications and APIs using C# and .NET Core/ASP.NET.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and design patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Debug and resolve software defects, performing root-cause analysis when necessary.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of database schemas and queries using SQL Server.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and product quality.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, especially in C#.
- Familiarity with the .NET framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular or React) is a plus.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL (SQL Server preferred).
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to learn and accept feedback.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing time effectively.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Entity Framework or other ORMs.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
