We’re Hiring: Grant Manager – Commercial & Private Grants

(Part-Time / Project-Based)

GreenUnity Ukraine, an international nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Grant Manager (Commercial & Private Grants) to strengthen our fundraising capacity through private foundations, corporate giving programs, and commercial funding sources (not government grants).

The Grant Manager will primarily use Candid / Foundation Directory Online (FDO) and other professional databases to identify funding opportunities, prepare applications, and support our organization’s financial growth.

We are focused on environmental protection, radiation safety, and justice through law enforcement and advocacy — and we are ready to grow our global presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential commercial funding opportunities through Candid (FDO Pro), corporate foundations, and private grantmakers

• Develop a pipeline of private grant prospects and maintain a funding calendar

• Prepare high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and supporting documentation tailored to non-governmental funders

• Draft partnership requests, cover letters, and correspondence with corporate and foundation funders

• Track and report on application status, deadlines, and awarded grants

• Collaborate with the leadership team to align proposals with organizational strategy • Support the organization’s visibility with funders through professional communication

■ Qualifications:

• Proven experience in private/commercial grant writing and fundraising (not government

grants)

• Strong knowledge of the U.S. and international corporate & philanthropic funding landscape

• Proficiency in using Candid/Foundation Directory Online (FDO) or equivalent tools

• Excellent English writing and editing skills (C1–C2); other languages are an advantage

• Ability to independently prepare competitive grant applications for corporate and private foundations

• Strong organizational and research skills, with attention to detail

• Familiarity with environmental, climate, or humanitarian issues is a plus

• Part-time or project-based

• Remote position

• Compensation: Success-based (payment only after grant is awarded)

• Standard success fee: 10% of each grant received, up to an agreed limit per grant • Terms negotiable depending on project scope
