Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for selling Gates' Automotive Replacement products in Queensland, Australia. Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service. Take responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems. Implement sales plan strategies to accelerate growth of products and/or new markets. Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition. Has primary accountability for the performance and revenue results in a geographical area and additional accountability for strategic initiatives; manages established accounts in a specified geographic area.
- Prepares action plans and implements strategy using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to grow sales / business in the assigned region, which involves generating additional revenues from existing customers and/or penetrating new markets and customers by identifying sales leads and prospects for the responsible market.
- Establishes a sound professional relationship with decision makers at important customers and/or potential new customers to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Creates and conducts technical and commercial presentations, proposals; and conducts distributor or end-user training to ensure understanding of Gates automotive products
- Responsible for meeting sales objectives
- Manages the performance of channel partners
- Interacts with all company employees in a professional and respectable manner.
- Attends Gates team meetings
- Completes reports requested by management on time and in an acceptable form including populating a CRM
- The job is fully remote from head office and requires working from a home office.
- Involves traveling, about 80% of the time is to be devoted to customer visits / meetings and representing Gates at trade shows and conferences and 20% of the time to administrative tasks – i.e, developing the coming week’s plan, analysing data, preparing reports for management, emails, updating the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- It may occasionally require after business hours work when there are trade shows.

- Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market
- Ability to influence high level engagement and relationship building
- An excellent ability to listen, understand and deliver on customer needs and requirements
- Computer skill in Microsoft software essential
- Presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and stay driven & focused
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of automotive replacement product applications.

Requirements And Preferred Skills
- 5-7 years of account manager experience in a similar capacity to this position.
- Knowledge of automotive industry preferred
