The Senior UI/UX Front-End Engineer plays a critical role in enhancing the user experience for a high-traffic consumer platform in the sports and gaming space. The primary objective is to redesign and optimize the platform's interface to create a fast, lightweight, and seamless experience across various devices and network conditions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Rethink and modernize the interface and user journeys in collaboration with the product team.
- Design and build a coherent design system and component library with light and dark themes.
- Create a distinct motion language for the application, ensuring smooth transitions and interactions.
- Write semantic, accessible, and performant HTML and CSS.
- Optimize the application’s performance considering Core Web Vitals.
- Profile performance on low-end devices and slow networks, addressing issues at their source.
- Senior-level expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Deep knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Expert web animation skills.
- Proven front-end optimization results.
- Experience with shipping web apps inside WebViews.
- Strong UI/UX sense with attention to detail.
- Daily use of AI tools for development.
- Portfolio of live interfaces or interactions.
- High availability for evening and weekend work.
- Experience with design tools (Figma).
- Familiarity with PWA and caching strategies.
- End-to-end testing and automated performance measurement experience.
- Experience with high-traffic, real-time products.
- Ability to communicate in French.
