Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a fast-growing business in the search for a commercially sharp Senior Business Analyst to help build and shape a data insight capability from the ground up.
This is a genuine opportunity to sit at the centre of analytics and client engagement - partnering with both external customers and internal teams to turn data into insight that drives operational and strategic change. Longer term, there’s scope to support wider European operations as the function grows.
You’ll act as a strategic partner, translating business objectives into meaningful data requirements, designing impactful visualisations and delivering insight that influences real decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst:
- Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand commercial goals and operational challenges, translating conversations into clear technical specifications for analysis and reporting
- Using large and varied datasets, including point of sale, inventory and labour tracking - you’ll identify trends, risks and opportunities
- You’ll deliver both ad-hoc and recurring analysis, measure performance impact and recommend clear, data-led actions
- You’ll design and deliver dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik Sense
- You’ll work closely with Operations, Technology and Finance to ensure data integrity and timely delivery
- You’ll continuously review how data is collected, analysed and reported - improving efficiency and strengthening the overall insight function.
Skills & Experience required:
- 4+ years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a client-facing analytical role
- Advanced analytical capability with strong spreadsheet modelling skills
- Experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik Sense
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident presenting to multiple levels of management
- Excellent organisation and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience within a retail sales environment would be advantageous
