Job Description Project Manager - Velonetic Location: Remote UK based Flexible working with travel as required Job Type:   Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week) Introduction

  • Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. Previously referred to as the London Market Joint Ventures, we have been operating for over 20 years in the London market (Lloyd's and Company), in both the insurance and reinsurance business. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities
  • Leads one or a number of projects. Assists in managing aspects of programs. Assists defining requirements and designing and implementing project modifications and development. Recommends changes or alternate paths as appropriate
  • We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who will be working as part of a dynamic Business Project Management team, on one of the biggest transformation programmes in the world, you’ll be accountable for initiatives which will enable us to deliver our transformation initiatives

Job Overview

  • Be accountable for project delivery from discovery to post-live adoption
  • Ensuring we deliver a quality product, on time, to scope and to budget
  • Tracking and reporting project performance to all stakeholders: internal and external
  • Managing, quality, budget, schedule and RAIDS for the lifecycle of your project
  • Adhere to the project/programme controls and governance frameworks - Managing resources during the delivery of the project
  • Keep our stakeholders informed by ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and reflects progress against the deliverables
  • Being creative and user centric manner
  • Managing RAIDS and ensure mitigation to remove/reduce risk are being actioned
  • Support in business playback sessions, signs off and ensure all documentation up to date
  • Own the backlog of work ensuring it’s driven from a value-based prioritisation process
  • Identifying opportunities for continual improvement and innovation in our change approach

What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading one or more projects
  • Assist in managing aspects of larger programs
  • Assisting defining requirements and designing and implementing project modifications and development
  • Recommending changes or alternate paths as appropriate
  • Creating and implementing project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for one or more medium sized projects of low to moderate complexity
  • Preparing detailed statements of work and gains concurrence and approval from stakeholders regarding various project aspects and adjusts accordingly
  • Participating in delivery assurance reviews to ensure adherence to project management policies and procedures
  • Assisting in the staffing of projects
  • Organising project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives
  • Managing costs, schedules, and quality by overseeing project deliverables
  • Ensuring schedule and budget are met
  • Performing ongoing review of project status; identify possible project RAIDS
  • Recommending and implementing risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate
  • Working in conjunction with team members and stakeholders to manage changes to technical requirements, business requirements and schedule of the project
  • Providing input on possible changes needed based on current project status Manages client, company, and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics
  • Recommending changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics
  • Managing Off Shore assigned personnel for projects
  • Assigning work and providing direction about timeliness and completion of project objectives
  • Addressing performance issues within prescribed guidelines
  • Providing performance input upon completion of project

People What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 Years Project Management Experience
  • Experience in leading Medium to Large Projects, with budgets from £100k upwards and multiple cross functional stakeholders
  • Project Management experience in a regulated Financial Services organization(s)
  • Experience in delivery ownership, delivering on promises and delivering on time, every time
  • Strong numeracy, verbal, and literacy skills
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office
  • Always working to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Strong organisational, personal and time management skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confident and motivated
  • Strong communications skills to interface with all levels of stakeholders
  • Change and transformation experience
  • An innovative, challenging, and continuous delivery mindset
  • The ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients
  • The ability to use your judgement and initiative in problem resolution
