Job Description

We are seeking an iOS Developer who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in iOS development and experience in Android to help design, build, and maintain mobile applications. They will have a deep understanding of the iOS development lifecycle and native technologies, combined with the ability to work on a shared codebase or assist with native Android projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for iOS using Swift and/or Objective-C, X-Code, and Python
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of iOS applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to define and design new features
• Stay up to date with new mobile technologies and industry trends
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and deployment processes

Required Experience/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field with 8+ years of professional mobile app development experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Proficient in Swift and/or Objective-C, X-Code, and Python for iOS development
• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns (MVC, MVVM), and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with third-party libraries, APIs, and version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices
• Experience with Python
• Experience publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play Store
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with mobile application development for Android is a plus
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus
• Experience working with cross-platform development tools or frameworks is a plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools for mobile
• AI Chatbot development experience is a plus
• Experience with analytics tools is a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Pay Summary

• Pay rate up to $59/hr W2, depending on experience
