As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the development of our product offerings in the payments and tax domain. You will be responsible for defining and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring our development team delivers exceptional value to stakeholders while strictly adhering to regulatory requirements.

Product Ownership:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and business stakeholders, to gather and prioritise product requirements specific to tax processes within the FinTech and payment landscapes.
• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, development teams, and management to effectively communicate the product vision and provide regular updates on development progress.
• Create, maintain, and prioritise a clear product backlog that aligns with the overall business objectives and complies with relevant regulations.

Tax Processes:

• Utilise your expertise in tax regulations and compliance to guide product development, ensuring that our solutions are not only innovative but also fully compliant with current laws and industry standards.
• Analyse market trends and gather user feedback to identify opportunities for improving tax-related features within our products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients.

FinTech/Payments Processes:

• Stay informed about developments in the FinTech industry and payment processing technologies to ensure our offerings remain competitive and relevant.
• Lead the facilitation of sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, optimising team performance and ensuring timely product delivery that meets market demands.

Security Elements:

• Collaborate closely with development and security operations teams to ensure that security best practises are integrated into the product development process from the outset.
• Maintain a strong focus on product safety and reliability, ensuring that security elements are thoroughly considered in all aspects of product development and deployment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the FinTech, payments, or tax sectors.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in managing product backlogs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels effectively.
• Knowledge of security practises in software development and a commitment to ensuring product safety and reliability.
