iOS Software Engineer
Location: Remote, Nationwide
Our client is building an ambitious mobile product that brings practical artificial intelligence directly into everyday user experiences. They are looking for an iOS Software Engineer who wants to do more than connect an app to an AI service. This engineer will help define how intelligent features behave in the hands of real users, with significant ownership over responsiveness, reliability, performance, and the overall mobile experience. It is an opportunity to join a highly technical, fast-moving team where strong individual contributors can directly influence both the product and its engineering foundation.
This Role Offers:
- Opportunity to build a mobile product where AI capabilities are a meaningful part of the core user experience.
- Close collaboration with engineers working across mobile, backend systems, and machine learning.
- A small, hands-on environment designed for engineers who enjoy solving ambiguous technical and product challenges.
Focus:
- Develop polished native Apple experiences in Swift, using SwiftUI where it best supports maintainable product delivery.
- Connect mobile experiences to intelligent services through APIs, with careful handling of response timing, errors, and recovery.
- Shape interaction patterns that keep AI-driven experiences understandable and dependable when responses are delayed, incomplete, or variable.
- Tune application responsiveness and resource consumption across memory, processing, battery use, and background execution.
- Partner with server-side and machine learning engineers to define mobile-facing contracts and improve end-to-end behavior.
- Instrument the app to surface quality signals, user feedback, and production health so the team can learn and improve quickly.
- Own release quality by diagnosing defects, strengthening stability, and supporting dependable App Store deployments.
- Contribute to technical decisions and engineering practices in a small team where individual ownership has visible product impact.
Skill Set:
- At least 3 years of professional iOS engineering experience with Swift.
- Demonstrated experience bringing AI-enabled capabilities into a mobile product.
- Strong command of modern iOS execution patterns, including Swift concurrency, async/await, background work, and lifecycle considerations.
- Proven ability to improve mobile performance and manage memory and resource efficiency.
- Track record of releasing, supporting, and evolving production iOS applications.
- Experience building resilient client behavior around network latency, partial failures, and variable service responses.
- Working knowledge of SwiftUI and API-driven application development.
- Exposure to on-device machine learning, remote configuration, feature management, or mobile observability is helpful.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to execute effectively with a high degree of ownership.
