Blackboard Studio is a startup studio based in Milan, Italy. We are a team of young, unconventional thinkers building and launching a portfolio of fast-growing consumer products.

In just 10 months, we’ve scaled to 400k+ users and $1.2M ARR, with the goal of joining the AI revolution and making life a little bit easier for billions of people.

We’re a team of makers, designers, engineers, marketers, and operators - obsessed with building beautiful, scalable, and impactful products. Our studio model allows you to work on multiple ideas (including your own), backed by proven distribution playbooks and an in-house marketing team that knows how to scale products fast.

Role description

We don’t hire developers. We hire builders: people who love creating new things from scratch.

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who loves building end-to-end products, from front-end experiences to backend logic, and is excited by the intersection of software and AI.

The position is fully remote across Europe, bonus points if you live in Milan.

You’ll work closely with our product and design teams to build new consumer-facing AI-powered products and tools across our studio portfolio.

If you’ve ever built something because you were curious, not because someone asked, you’ll fit right in.

Required qualifications

• Based in Europe
• 3+ years of experience in building web apps using Typescript/Next.js/React/Tailwind
• Solid understanding of current AI trends, including LLMs, RAGs, context engineering, workflows, and prompting
• Solid understanding of consumer behavior and user experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• (optional) Experience in building React Native apps

Compensation

Base salary + equity and revenue share in the products you help build

Candidates who match our fit will be invited to complete a non-technical screening survey about themselves.

If successful, the candidate will be invited to complete an async technical screening challenge by building a POC of a small AI-powered app using all the technologies required in this job post.

If successful, the candidate will participate in a one-on-one call with our founder to discuss culture and vision.
