Title Product Manager (Education Portfolio)AVIXA – Digital ProductsContract | Remote | 4 months (with potential extension)Start Date: Immediate

AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is seeking an experienced Contract Product Manager to support a portfolio of new digital learning and education initiatives. This contract role is ideal for a strategic, research-driven product leader who can rapidly assess opportunities, validate concepts, and shape viable go-to-market strategies for new revenue and engagement growth.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Products, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams across Education, Content, Marketing, and Industry Programs. Your focus will be to bring structure, evidence, and clarity to early-stage product concepts, moving each initiative from idea or partial definition into a validated, strategically packaged offering ready for future execution.

What You’ll Do:

As a Product Manager supporting our education portfolio, you will:

Lead Market Research & Validation

  • Conduct audience and market sizing, competitive scans, and product-market fit analysis.
  • Validate assumptions through qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Identify highest-value opportunities for new revenue, engagement, and member impact.

Drive Early-Stage Product Development

  • Apply a structured new product development process (NPDP) to refine concepts into viable business cases.
  • Define use cases, value propositions, business models, and recommended pricing/packaging.
  • Translate ambiguous ideas into clear, well-structured product briefs and decision frameworks.

Shape Go-to-Market Direction

  • Develop positioning recommendations, launch-readiness frameworks, and channel strategies.
  • Support internal teams in preparing for future release cycles, roadmaps, and enablement.

Provide Project Management Support

  • Coordinate cross-departmental workflows to ensure timely progress on non-curriculum deliverables.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and resource needs to accelerate execution readiness.

Deliver Portfolio-Level Impact

  • Produce clear, executive-ready documentation evaluating viability, strategic fit, revenue potential, and long-term opportunity.
  • Build a consolidated set of recommended product pathways for AVIXA’s 2026 education portfolio.

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the engagement, you will have delivered:

  • Validated concepts with clearly defined audiences, pricing models, and market fit.
  • Business cases and recommendations grounded in research and data.
  • Launch-readiness plans and execution frameworks that AVIXA teams can activate in 2026.
  • A prioritized portfolio of education product opportunities with strategic packaging for revenue and engagement growth.

About You

You are a self-directed product strategist with a strong background in education technology, digital learning products, or professional training programs. You thrive in fast-paced environments where clarity needs to be created, not just managed.

You have:

  • 5+ years experience in product management or product consulting (education/learning products strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success working with LMS, LCMS, AI-enabled tools, or digital learning ecosystems.
  • Strong capabilities in market research, early-stage discovery, and business case development.
  • Proven experience developing go-to-market strategies for new or evolving products
  • Experience creating pricing/packaging strategies and evaluating monetization opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills across senior leadership, education teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver structured recommendations quickly.
  • A data-driven approach, with the ability to distill insights into clear product decisions.
