🚀 Team of Senior Contract Data Engineers for Global AI Transformation Programme (Start Now!) – FREELANCE / CONTRACT (DACH-focused)

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are building a large-scale new data programme for an international consultancy specialising in AI transformation. This is a greenfield, high-impact initiative with a major global end client.

WHO WE NEED (MUST-HAVES)

We are looking for experienced contractors who can step into complex environments and deliver value from Day 1:

• Senior Data Engineer (5+ years in data engineering / big data projects).
• Strong skills in Python, SQL and Spark (ideally PySpark).
• Solid experience with one or more major clouds: AWS, Azure or GCP (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience with modern data stack tools: Airflow, Kafka, dbt, CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record preparing and orchestrating data for ML / AI models in enterprise environments is a big plus.
• Previous experience as a freelancer / contractor (working with business stakeholders, distributed teams, clean documentation).

CONTRACT SETUP

For this programme we are strictly considering:

• ✅ Freelancers / independent contractors (based in Germany or wider DACH region).
• ✅ Self-employed professionals / single-member companies / small GmbHs (direct or via one intermediate).
• ❌ No permanent employment contracts.
• ❌ No pure third-party agencies or pass-through setups.

• Start Dates: Within the next 2-3 weeks (immediate availability essential).
• Workload: Full-time (ideally 4–5 days per week).
• Duration: Long-term engagement with extension options.
• Location: Remote-first; occasional on-site visits possible by agreement.
