Nedra Bell, a single mom from Houston, is one of the program's success stories. After completing NPower Houston's training, she secured her dream job with a substantial salary.

“You’re going to double and sometimes triple your salary when you’re going into the technical fields,” Nedra shared. “You can expect to make between $80,000 to $100,000 with the certifications that you’ll receive from NPower.”

Allen Kotun, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, also graduated from the program and is earning more than he ever imagined.

About the Program

NPower Houston launched in March 2023, offering a 20-week training course that runs five days a week for four hours a day. All materials, including laptops, are provided at no cost.

To qualify, participants must be:

• Harris County residents
• High school graduates or GED holders
• At least 18 years old

The program is designed for individuals who did not complete college, aiming to help them earn high-paying jobs in tech.
