Analogic Corp. Moves to Salem, NH
A major player in the health care and security technology sector, Analogic Corp., is leaving its nearly 50-year home in Peabody, Massachusetts, and relocating to Salem, New Hampshire. This move will not only provide the company with the space it desperately needs but will also bring 500 new jobs to the region.
New Facilities
The new location at 9 Northeastern Boulevard in Salem offers 200,000 square feet of research and manufacturing space, which is double what they had in Peabody, despite a smaller overall footprint of 515,000 square feet.
Challenges in Finding Space
Finding adequate space in Massachusetts proved to be a challenge. According to Chief Financial Officer Will Rousmaniere, “We’re growing like gangbusters. It’s hard to find space.” The distance between the old and new locations is approximately 32 miles, ensuring minimal disruption for employees.
Innovative Technology
Analogic is renowned for designing and manufacturing high-tech instruments for various applications, including digital mammography (DM), MRI, and airport screening systems.

In 2022, the TSA installed Analogic's CT X-ray units at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, enhancing security measures.
A Long Journey
The company had been on the lookout for a new facility since selling its headquarters in May 2024 for $77 million. Plans are underway to develop the Peabody site into an industrial park.
Pioneering Innovations
Founded in 1964 by Bernie Gordon, Analogic has been at the forefront of technological advancements, holding over 200 patents. The company transitioned to its current name in 1969 and has been a key player in the medical equipment industry.
