About The Role As a key member of our Government team, you will contribute to delivering state-of-the-art TwelveLabs models and products tailored for U.S. public-sector clients. This role involves ensuring our platform operates securely within highly regulated environments such as GovCloud or air-gapped settings, adhering to standards like FedRAMP and DoD SRG Impact Levels. You will be responsible for designing systems that function efficiently over constrained networks and hardware, maintaining rigorous supply chain practices, and ensuring high reliability in operations. This position is exclusively open to U.S. citizens, with prior top-secret clearance being a plus but not mandatory. The ideal candidate is a Full Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise and solid frontend skills, capable of designing, building, and scaling end-to-end systems—from APIs and data pipelines to user interfaces. While remote work is permitted for candidates residing in the United States, occasional travel to San Francisco for team meetings and in-person interviews is required. Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of scalable database design, including relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, React Query, and TypeScript
• Experience building responsive, high-performance user interfaces using CSS frameworks like Tailwind and component libraries such as Material UI
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure scaling techniques
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in agile, fast-paced environments with a strong ownership mindset

Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with video technologies (e.g., FFmpeg, AWS Media Services) and integrating backend systems with AI/ML pipelines for video analysis tasks such as object detection, motion tracking, or summarization. Startup experience and adaptability are highly valued. Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, RESTful APIs that support features like indexing, search, and video analysis, integrating seamlessly with model inference pipelines
• Architect and optimize backend systems to ensure high throughput, low latency, and high availability in enterprise-grade SaaS environments
• Develop responsive frontend applications using modern frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with backend services
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Infrastructure, and Deployment teams to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions
• Maintain coding standards and best practices across the development stack, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and maintainable systems
• Participate in security and compliance efforts to meet standards such as FedRAMP and DoD SRG Impact Levels
• Contribute to continuous improvement of system architecture, performance, and security protocols
