Full Stack Engineer (Game)

About The Role We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Game Engineer to join our remote team and contribute directly to a globally recognized game title. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining game systems and mechanics across multiple platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality code that ensures smooth, responsive gameplay for millions of active players. Responsibilities

• Translate design specifications into functional, high-performance game mechanics.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across disciplines to gather requirements and integrate media assets.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codebases.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical challenges.
• Ensure optimal application quality, responsiveness, and user experience.
• Maintain clear communication with team members to establish effective pipelines and workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of game development experience in multi-person teams.
• Proficient in C# and Java programming languages.
• Experience with RPC/REST communication protocols.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience implementing UI designs and developing mobile and 3D games.
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with current design and architectural patterns.
• Experience with game physics, particle systems, and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Proficient with Git version control.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and be available during core Pacific Time hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm, M-F).
• Must be a resident of the US or Canada (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Unity engine.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, Unix environments, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud.
• Experience with React UI development (Native or Web).
• Skills in optimizing memory and hardware performance.
• Knowledge of automated testing and unit tests.
• Experience with dependency injection and service locator patterns.
• Familiarity with analytics and crash reporting tools like Sentry.
• Residence in the Pacific Northwest is a plus.

• Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $130,000, based on experience and skills.
