About The Role
As a Frontend Engineer at Whippy, you will play a critical role in designing and developing intuitive, responsive, and engaging user interfaces that empower our users to interact seamlessly with our AI-driven communication tools. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into functional frontend solutions, ensuring a high-quality user experience across various platforms. Your work will involve creating and maintaining scalable frontend architectures, writing detailed engineering requirement documents, and developing comprehensive test suites to guarantee product reliability and performance.
You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects such as building a React Native mobile app from scratch, developing sophisticated data filtering GUIs, and creating real-time analytics dashboards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers will be essential to deliver impactful features that meet business needs and user expectations. Your contributions will directly influence the usability and success of Whippy’s platform, helping us maintain our position as a leader in AI-powered communication solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in frontend development, particularly with React, React Native, or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and interactive system design
- Experience with building scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized frontend applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with UI component libraries such as Radix UI and styling solutions like Stitches
- Experience with writing unit and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability
- Knowledge of backend API integration and data handling
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments is a plus
- Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces that facilitate seamless interaction with our AI communication tools
- Write detailed engineering requirement documents to guide development from conception through deployment
- Create and maintain unit and end-to-end test suites to ensure product stability and performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features
- Participate in research, planning, and monitoring of project progress and outcomes
- Build and optimize frontend components for scalability and reusability
- Implement design systems and UI components using Radix UI and Stitches
- Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and ensure data consistency and security
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and best practices
