About The Role We are seeking a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our innovative product team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining Feathr's SaaS platform, which is central to delivering value to our nonprofit clients. Your primary focus will be on creating intuitive, high-quality user interfaces using modern frontend technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and designers, to develop new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. - Minimum of 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience
- Proficiency with React or equivalent modern frontend frameworks
- Experience working within multi-application or monorepo codebases
- Professional experience shipping production-ready software to users
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and type-safe coding practices
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as MobX, Redux, or similar
- Understanding of modern CSS and HTML, including CSS Modules and custom properties
- Experience with component libraries like Mantine, Material UI, or Chakra
- Exposure to component-driven development tools such as Storybook
- Knowledge of build tools like Webpack or Vite
- Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience writing automated tests with Jest, React Testing Library, or similar
- Ability to work with REST/CRUD API patterns and integrate with backend services
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement user interface components using React and modern frontend technologies
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and refine features
- Write automated tests to ensure reliability and maintainability of codebase
- Contribute to the planning, design, and iteration of product features throughout the development lifecycle
- Identify and troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns
- Maintain and improve existing frontend systems, ensuring they meet security and compliance standards
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest frontend development trends and tools
- Assist in documenting technical solutions and best practices for team knowledge sharing
- Work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment, managing priorities and deadlines independently
