About The Role Revalia is seeking a highly skilled Frontend Engineer to join its innovative team. This role involves architecting and developing user-facing features for the company's web applications that support its groundbreaking human data trial platform. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with React and HTMX, demonstrating an ability to craft elegant, scalable solutions that enhance user experience. As part of a collaborative cross-functional team, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, high-performance web interfaces. Your expertise in modern frontend technologies, combined with proficiency in AI coding tools, will be crucial in maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and accessibility. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a transformative platform that accelerates translational medicine, providing biotech, pharma, and medtech innovators with unprecedented access to human biology data. The role is fully remote, with quarterly travel to our office in New Haven, CT, and is open to candidates legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a proven record of delivering production-quality code
• Advanced proficiency in React.js, including hooks, context API, and state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand
• Strong expertise in HTMX, including dynamic content loading and server-driven UI interactions
• Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and AI-assisted development workflows
• Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development principles
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative workflows
• Familiarity with build tools and bundlers like Webpack or Vite
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, or Cypress
• Understanding of web performance optimization techniques and accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Proficiency in Python for backend integration or scripting
• Experience with Next.js or similar React meta-frameworks is a plus
• Knowledge of GraphQL, Web Components, micro-frontend architectures, and component libraries
• Contribution to open-source frontend projects is advantageous
• Background or exposure to medical systems and processes is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using React, ensuring optimal performance across devices and browsers
• Create interactive components with React and HTMX for dynamic, server-driven interactions and progressive enhancement
• Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and backend services to ensure seamless data flow and user experience
• Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient state management strategies
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code adhering to best practices, design patterns, and coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend engineers to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality, facilitate knowledge sharing, and ensure adherence to team standards
• Debug and troubleshoot front-end issues using browser developer tools and AI-assisted debugging techniques
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in frontend development
• Leverage AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and others to enhance productivity and validate code
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the platform’s architecture and user experience
